Proving the leading position amongst Australian Honda dealerships Blue Ribbon Honda has won the prestigious National Honda dealer award for excellence and Matthew Gwynne was awarded first place in the National Honda Technician Competition. The Blue Ribbon team takes great pride in receiving these awards which ensures our customers that they receive the highest standard of customer experience in sales, finance, service and parts.
Honda Australia recently announced the official results of the 2012 Technician & Apprentice of the Year Competition and we are proud to announce that our Matthew Gwynnee took out the grand prize of “National Technician of the Year Winner”. Matthew received his perpetual trophies and personalised plaques including an iPAD3 64GB and accessories including $300 Snap-On tool vouchers to the value of $300 as major prizes.
The 2012 Technician & Apprentice of the Year Competition final examination was held Friday 26th October at Honda Australia’s Head Training Facility located in Tullamarine Melbourne.
At the conclusion of the competition final on Friday night all finalists including the top five Service Managers flew out to Thailand to commence the seven day study tour.
The study tour consisted of a number of activities including a visit to the Honda factory where the Civic, CRV, Jazz, Accord and City are manufactured for Australia. A visit to one of Bangkok’s largest Honda dealerships was organised followed by a number of cultural scenes of Thailand including some recreational activities.
At the conclusion of the Factory and Dealer visit in Bangkok the group headed south to the seaside city of Pattaya where we held the gala presentation dinner at the Royal Cliff Hotel complex where Matthew was announced the winner of the Technician of the Year.
